Here I am 56 and planning my retirement or semi-retirement. Because I had a long break without a job, I am planning for my semi-retirement. I decided on starting a business. I had many false start, but this blog and online course business is a keeper.
I plan to run my business part-time starting today, working just 8 to 15 hours a week.
Semi-retirement is a break from the long hours of work in a job you no longer enjoy by having a job or your own business with part-time and flexible hours. This will give you time to spend with your family and friends and to travel, if you want.
Planning now is important. Ask yourself…
- Can I afford retirement?
- Will I run out of money?
- What will I do to not be bored?
- What are my goals for retirement?
- Do I want to start my own business or continue to work for others?
- How flexible do I want my business or job?
- Do I want a home or online business?
Deciding what type of retirement you want is key
Do you want to retire early in your 50’s, at 66, or late in your 70’s? Do you want to consider semi-retirement, choosing a new career, or starting your own business?
What do you want to do with the rest of your life? This is a big question you need answers to. I want to help. Let us do it together.
Look for a business that you can do part-time so you have more time to…
- Work fewer hours
- Realize your goals and dreams
- Spend more time with family
- Enjoy yourself
- Pursue a hobby
