Reaching 50 is a milestone. It’s a great time to reflect on your life, to look at the past and plan for the future. Ask yourself what do I want in life? What am I here for? You have a purpose here on earth. I want to help you realize and live your purpose.
It can cause regret to look at the past. It did for me. My life has not turn out the way I wanted it to, but it’s best not to dwell on the regrets. Regrets are normal. We all have them, but let them go.
Look toward the future. Plan your life, starting today. If you have faith, pray. Start a daily quiet time. Learn from the past. I learn from the past, plan for the future and live in the purpose.
Ask yourself “What do I really want?” Pretend that you are at your 90th birthday party. People are honoring your life and telling stories about all your accomplishments. What do you want your family and friends to say about you? What do you want to have done and be remembered for? List at least 5 things.
Life is short. We never know when our life on earth will be over. A remedy for regret is to start planning your future and taking action on the plan today.
To start, create a big goal for the rest of the year, then ask what is the most important thing you can do to make your goal happen. Write it own in your planner or notebook. Break the goal down into doable steps. List them, then put them in your calendar.
Here is how to find purpose and meaning is your life. What do you want to do to make the world a better place? Start now. Start to be loving and caring now. You do not need to have money or job to change the world to make a difference in others lives.
It’s never too early to plan retirement. Ask yourself the following questions. Do you want to retire early in your 50’s, at 66, or late in your 70’s? Do you want to consider semi-retirement, choosing a new career or starting your own business?
Now I am asking you to not be realistic here, but write about what you dream your retirement will be. Take your journal out and write about an ideal day of retirement or semi-retirement. Just dream!
You now have your ideal day planned out. Now it’s time to be more realistic. What are 3 to 5 things you need or want to have in your retirement?
The world has a lot problems, it is even crazy at times. You may ask what is my purpose? How do I know if it is really my purpose given to me by the creator or just a purpose I made up?
First, answer the questions from my free offer. Pray, ask God to guide and show you your life purpose. If you need more work on finding your purpose, I suggest, after you answer the questions, that you go to a place where you will not be disturbed and write or type out the answer to the question what is my life purpose? Set a timer for 15 minute then write until you get emotional. Do this everyday for a week. This shall hint what is your purpose.
I do believe your purpose is not a role, relationship, or a career. It is a laser- focused action. My purpose is to foster hope by helping others with my own unique ways, using my skills and talents.
Then there is a vocation or calling which is more specific and can include your career (job or your own business) . Mine is to help women live a life of purpose and meaning using my creativity, my skills of team support, and resourcefulness.
Now that you find that you are closer to your life purpose and vocation, What now? Your journey has just begun. You now need to live each day with hope, faith, meaning, and purpose.
Seeking to be happy everyday is impossible. No one is happy every day. Seek to help others and you will feel fulfilled. Live your days like it is your last. If you had only 3 months to live and was healthy, what would you do? How would you spend your days.
